Stratosphere Filly Wins $50,000 Alfa Bowl

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 14

Grenville Stud’s young Snitzel stallion Stratosphere posted his second winner when talented filly Cairns scored a debut victory in the $50,000 Alfa Bowl (1100m) at Launceston on Wednesday night.

The Barry Campbell trained filly swept clear of her rivals to win by nearly two lengths in a dominant display.

Cairns was a $30,000 Magic Millions Tasmania purchase for her trainer from the Brooklyn Park Stud draft and is the first winner for Airlie Magic, a winning Magic Albert mare from stakes-winner Airlie Bird.
