Another Impressive Win for Merchant Navy 3YO

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday December 7

Talented Merchant Navy gelding High Blue Sea made it back to back metropolitan wins when scoring a dominant victory at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.

Trained by Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou, High Blue Sea broke his maiden at his third start at Rosehill last month and repeated the dose when dropped back to 1300m for this Benchmark 64 contest.

He led again and was far too strong, powering to the line to win by more than a length to take his record to two wins and a second from four starts with over $80,000 in prizemoney.

A $220,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Newgate Farm draft for George Moore Bloodstock / Team Moore Racing, he was a successful pinhook having been bought for $100,000 by Binalong Bloodstock from the Erinvale Thoroughbreds draft at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale.
