50 Winners for Capitalist

Tara Madgwick - Friday December 2

Newgate Farm’s Capitalist posted his 50th winner of the season on Friday adding two new winners to his tally including promising filly Flying Temptress, who scored an easy maiden win at Moonee Valley.

Trained by Clinton McDonald, Flying Temptress was narrowly beaten on debut at the same track last month when the breaks never came her way and punters were confident she could make amends tonight and were duly rewarded.

Ridden by Blaike McDougall, Flying Temptress opened up a big lead turning for home and won by a length and a half in the line.

A $300,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Milburn Creek draft for D Romanelli / Clinton McDonald Racing, Flying Temptress was bred by Highclere Stud Australia and is the first winner for Flying Siren, a winning half-sister by Flying Spur to Group II winner Catapulted.

Capitalist is the leading third season sire by winners with 51 for the season and has big entries for upcoming sales with 42 for Magic Millions and 39 for Inglis Classic.
