Sell Your Yearlings Before Christmas on Bloodstockauction

Media Release - Tuesday November 29

It's a little over two weeks to go until the Christmas Yearling Sale hosted by Bloodstockauction.com kicks off for the first time, and the buzz and hype around the sale is growing!

The late year sale has been positively received, never before have owners and breeders had an opportunity to move on their yearlings in a dedicated sale before Christmas.

It is all too common for owners and breeders to have a number of yearlings that are uncommitted to live sales in early 2023 or are simply better suited to the online sales format.  Traditionally, these yearlings would be retained and pointed toward the smaller sales in May or June.

This means carrying them and their expenses for another 5-6 months. In today's uncertain economy times with rising interest rates and a squeeze on credit, 5-6 months is a long way away.

This sale makes sense for a lot of reasons and is perfectly timed to appeal to the many buyers who have already started preparing for the early 2023 sales.

Entries are flowing in, and there is still time to get your yearlings into this special auction.  Yearlings can be entered online via www.bloodstockauction.com or you can contact the team on 1300 849 349.

The auction kicks off at 7:00pm on the 15th December 2022 and concludes at 7:00pm on Tuesday 20th December 2022.

Online bidding remains open 24 hours a day over the five days - providing buyers plenty of time to view the yearlings online, arrange inspections and of course to bid. The site already has over 20,000 registered members and if your yearling doesn’t sell at the fall of the hammer the team will commence negotiations with underbidders on your behalf.

A special reduced price has been set for entries - just $440 with a 5% sales commission on all reserved lots that are sold and on all unreserved lots that sell for $5,000 or more. There is no commission payable on passed-in lots.

Christmas is just around the corner and what better Christmas present for our members than to purchase their future race winners!
