Tara Madgwick - Saturday November 26

The Tattersalls December Foal Sale third session is in progress with the highlight so far the half-sister by Kingman to this year’s Group I Newmarket Dewhurst Stakes winner Chaldean.

Consigned by Whitsbury Manor Stud, who also bred and sold Chaldean, the star filly sold for 1million guineas to Juddmonte Farms.

Juddmonte purchased Chaldean at this sale two years ago for 550,000 guineas and the Frankel colt from Suelita has had five starts this year for Andrew Balding winning four of them with the Group I 2000 Guineas next year looming large on the horizon.

The filly’s Juddmonte based sire Kingman has had a good year siring 16 stakes-winners, two of them Group I winners Kinross and Commissioning.
