Inglis 2023 Preview Magazine Now Available Online

Media Release - Friday November 25

The build-up to the 2023 Inglis Yearling Sales Series, beginning at Riverside with Inglis Classic from February 12-14, continues with today’s launch of the annual Preview Magazine.

The 136-page magazine showcases the best of what is on offer through the select Inglis Yearling Sales in 2023 and is now available online.

With the Classic Sale catalogue already available, a Premier sale that is set to include top-class drafts from the likes of Victorian powerhouses Blue Gum Farm, Gilgai Farm, Widden, Yulong, Rosemont, Longwood, Noorilim, as well as a host of other fantastic consignments, while the Easter Yearling Sale will again showcase the very best yearlings that Australasia has to offer, never before has a sales season promised so much.

Buyers will again be the big winners at Inglis next year, given the quality on offer from Australia and New Zealand breeders and vendors.

Since 2018, Inglis has produced more G1 winners, more G1 winners for $100,000 or less, more G1-winning colts, more G1-winning fillies, more winners of the $1m+ races, more G1-winning young horses and more winners in Hong Kong than our nearest Australian competitor.

“It’s really very simple – if you want to buy a Group 1 winner in 2023, you are statistically giving yourself a significant advantage of doing so if you buy at Inglis,’’ Inglis Bloodstock CEO Sebastian Hutch said.

“The first of those opportunities is the Classic Sale – it is undoubtedly the best value of the early Southern Hemisphere yearling sales. The average price that an Australian Stakes winner since 2018 could have been bought for at Classic is just over $100,000, which makes it significantly better value than other sales in the early part of the sales season throughout January and February next year in Australia and New Zealand.

“So in knowing that, we are asking buyers, where will you be in 2023?’’

Leading industry journalists including Tim Rowe, Bren O’Brien, Andrew Rule, Caroline Searcy, Glen Latham, Lydia Symonds, Trevor Marshallsea, Angus Roland, Michael Cox, Steve Moran etc. have contributed to the editorial in this year’s Inglis magazine.

Stories include features on Australian racing icon Gai Waterhouse, leading training duo Ciaron Maher & David Eustace, successful owner Rupert Legh, racing & breeding operation Trilogy Racing as well as reads on Widden Stud’s Victorian expansion and industry supporting life beyond the track for thoroughbreds.

There is also a selection of pedigrees of yearlings confirmed for the 2023 Easter Sale included.
