Tara Madgwick - Wednesday November 16

A $1.2million I Am Invincible filly created a big impression at Sandown on Wednesday when bolting away to win by four lengths.

Trained by Anthony and Sam Freedman, Skidamarink was taking  on older mares in the Benchmark 64 event over 1300m following a maiden win at Sale in October at her second start.

She was heavily backed and gave her supporters no cause for doubt when she powered away to win as she pleased for Ethan Brown.

“She’s a pretty progressive filly, she jumped well and we were able to use her from the gate to take a tactical advantage and she got into a lovely rhythm,” said Ethan Brown.

“We were able to go through her gears at the 600m and she showed a good turn of foot at the end.

“If something challenged her, she felt like she could go again, there’s a lot to look forward to with her.”

Skidamarink was a $1.2million Inglis Easter purchase

A $1.2million Inglis Easter purchase for Rosemont Stud from the Glenlogan Park draft, Skidamarink was bred by Steve Morley and is a half-sister to Group III winner Extreme Warrior and stakes--winner Thrillster as well as stakes-placed Free Thrills.

She is the fourth winner from top producing Show a Heart mare Heart of Thrills, a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group III winner Gottahaveaheart and stakes-winner Crossyourheart from the family of Group I winning sprinter All Thrills Too.

Glenlogan Park will offer the current yearling from Heart of Thrills, a black colt by Written Tycoon, as Lot 927 at the 2023 Magic Millions.
