First Win for Classic Sale-Topper

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 15

Capitalist has been keeping pace with I Am Invincible on the score of posting winners with nine in the past seven days including the three year-old that topped the 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Trained by Team Hawkes, Capital Theatre was overdue for a win after placing at his first two runs back from a spell and scored a length win in the 900m maiden at Newcastle at start four.

A $625,000 Inglis Classic purchase for George Moore Bloodstock / Team Moore Racing, Capital Theatre was bred by Richard McLenahan of Mullaglass Stud and is the first foal of winning Casino Prince mare Theatric.

Capital Theatre was the top lot at the 2021 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Theatric comes from a quality family with her dam a half-sister to Group III winner Nivember Flight, the dam of Group I winning $5.8million earner Pierata.

Capitalist made it a winning double at Newcastle with promising filly Euros breaking her maiden for the Joe Pride stable over 1200m at her third start.
