Millburn Creek Stud’s John Muir missed the win of his homebred Hellbent filly Magic Time in The Amanda Elliott at Flemington on Saturday to attend the mares sales in Kentucky, and he struck twice on the opening day of the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale.

Kia-Ora Stud backed up from Fasig-Tipton, and Boomer Bloodstock teamed up with Silverdale Farm to purchase a stakes-winning daughter of Ribchester.  

Lot 204 Tobys Heart (Jack Milton x Pick of the Pack by Lil's Lad) Kia-Ora Stud $450,000.

A stakes-winner at Saratoga at two and GrII and GrIII-placed winner of over $659,000, Tobys Heart is by a Gr1 winning son of War Front out of a stakes-winning half-sister to GrIII winner Great Attack (Greatness) and stakes-winner Pulgarcito (Greatness).

Lot 232 Ruthin (GB) (Ribchester x Selinka by Selkirk) Silverdale Farm / Boomer Bloodstock $400,000.

A six-length winner over 1100m at Keeneland when making her career debut, the Wesley Ward-trained Ruthin finished seventh in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot when sent off favourite.

Out of the dual stakes-winning 2yo Selinka, Ruthin won a Listed race at Keenland at three. She is a half-sister to Exceed And Excel’s dual GrIII winner Hit The Bid who was third behind the ill-fated Ertijaal and Blue Point in the Group II Meydan Sprint.

Lot 86 Kaylasaurus (Munnings x Five Diamonds by Flatter) Nicoma, Agt/JLM Estates Pty Ltd/Milburn Creek Stud $270,000

A stakes-winner of over $350,000, Kaylasaurus is a sister to the stakes-winner Nimitz Class who has won four of eight starts this season.

Dam was a stakes winner of seven races.

Lot 25 Candace O (Declaration of War x That Voodoo Youdoo by Speightstown) Nicoma, Agt/JLM Estates Pty Ltd/Milburn Creek Stud $160,000.

A Winner at two and GrIII-placed at three Candace O is a sister to GrIII With Anticipation Stakes winner Opry and half-sister to stakes-placed Gris Girls (Spring At Last) out of a stakes-placed half-sister to GrIII winner White Cat (Mountain Cat).
