The powerful Ciaron Maher and David Eustace stable had a short priced favourite at Casterton on Monday and she duly got the cash to become the latest winner for Hellbent.

Narrowly beaten on debut at Ballarat back in March, Adament was spelled after that and has come back a stronger filly.

She dashed clear to win the 1100m maiden by two lengths in a dominant display.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Ciaron Maher Bloodstock, Adament is a half-sister to Group placed I Am Swerving and Dogmatic, also to the dam of stakes-winner Diamond Thunder.

Bred by Australian Bloodstock, Adament is the seventh winner from Unswerving, a winning half-sister by Commands to Group III winner Firm from the family of Group I winner Gatting.

Adament is the 14th winner this season for Yarraman Park’s Hellbent, who is leading the second season sires by winners.
