Juvenile Trial Watch – Hawkesbury

Tara Madgwick - Monday October 17

The last crop of foals by champion sire Not a Single Doubt are now two year-olds and there are only 36 of them with one of them winning his first trial very nicely at Hawkesbury on Monday morning.

Trained by John O’Shea, Café Millenium quickened up when given a slap along by Brenton Avdulla and hit the line well under his own steam to win.

Retained to race, Café Millenium is a three-quarter brother-in-blood to Group II winner Gypsy Diamond and is the second foal from Veloce Fort, a lightly raced High Chaparral (IRE) mare that won on debut at Kembla at two and was retired after just three more starts never really fulfilling her potential.
