Bluebloods Set to Debut on Wednesday

Two bluebloods are set to debut in the Fujitsu General 3yo Maiden (1200m) at Rosehill on Wednesday.

The Michael, Wayne, and John Hakes-trained gelding Golden Age is a son of champion stallion I Am Invincible out of the Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes heroine First Seal (Fastnet Rock). He will oppose the Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou-trained filly Call Di the product of champions Frankel (GB) and Samantha Miss.

The winner of two barrier trials, Golden Age was a $500,000 purchase for Hawkes racing from the Sledmere Stud draft at the 2021 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Carry the colours of Alan Bell, Golden Age is the second foal of First Seal, who defeated Winx in the Group 1 ATC Flight Stakes and Group II Tea Rose Stakes and adding the Group II ATC Surround Stakes, Group II MRC Tristarc Stakes, and Group III ATC Millie Fox Stakes for China Horse Club.

Golden Age a $500,000 Inglis Easter yearling

The Frankel (GB) filly Call Di is a homebred for John Singleton’s Strawberry Hill Stud.

A daughter of Redoute’s Choice, Samantha Miss won three at the highest level, VRC Oaks, AJC Champagne Stakes, and Flight Stakes when trained by Kris Lees.

The daughter Redoute’s Choice hit the headlines again when purchased by Singleton for $3,850,000.

On a previous date with Frankel (GB), Samantha Miss left the Group II ATC Tea Rose Stakes winner Miss Fabulass.

Call Di finished second in a barrier trial at Rosehill on September 20.
