Heat 10 – colts – Tarabeau – 51.94 seconds

This Brazen Beau colt Tarabeau, trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, was a late addition to this heat and blitzed them, travelling a little deep and cruising away to win by more than two lengths over colts by Written By and Trapeze Artist.

A $90,000 Inglis Classic purchase for his trainers from the Silverdale Farm draft, Tarabeau was bred Laurel Oak Bloodstock, Grant Bloodstock and Carpe Diem, the same partnership that bred Golden Slipper winner Fireburn, and runs for a big ownership group. He is the first foal of metro winning Sepoy mare Tarabai, a half-sister to Group I placed 2YO Cornrow from stakes-winning juvenile Baby Corn.

Tarabeau was a $90,000 Inglis Classic purchase .

Brazen Beau can get an early 2YO and this colt does look the goods.

Heat 9 – colts – Fameux – 51.92 seconds

Trained by Annabel Neasham, Exceed and Excel colt Fameux was very green up the running for Chad Schofield drifting out near the line with the second and third colts High King (Russian Revolution) and Make a Call (Extreme Choice) also bumping repeatedly over the final furlong.

The winner was retained to race by his breeders and is the first foal from his Group I winning dam Daysee Doom, who won the 2018 Coolmore Classic. She has a filly to follow by Deep Field and is in foal to Wootton Bassett (GB).

Fameux is the first foal of G1 Coolmore Classic winner Daysee Doom.

Fameux is the second heat winner for Exceed and Excel following on from Mach Ten.

HEAT 8 – fillies – Just Gisella – 52.20 seconds

The Michael Freedman trained filly Just Gisella did a great job to give Triple Crown hero Justify (USA) a really good heat winner as she had to overcome some adversity to win. She was held up on the rail and had to be angled out of there by Tommy Berry before he could ask her to lengthen.

When she got that clear ground, Just Gisella found her rhythm and hit the line well in a most encouraging performance to beat another Trapeze Artist youngster in Sky Artist.

A $2

00,000 Magic Millions purchase for James Bester Bloodstock from the Coolmore draft, Just Gisella was bred by Dr Denis O’Brien and his wife Claire and was foaled and raised at Coolmore.

Just Gisella is the first heat winner for Triple Crown winner Justify (USA).

She is a half-sister to good metro winner Agassi from stakes-placed Fastnet Rock mare Halle Rocks, a half-sister to Group III winner Diamond Earth.

HEAT 7 – colts – Ozzmosis – 51.38 seconds hand timed

Second heat winner for Zoustar with the Bjorn Baker trained colt Ozzmosis asked for an effort in his heat and he responded well to win by half a length with his trainer keen to get him into the Breeders Plate.

Running home nicely for second was a dashing grey Trapeze Artist colt in Snatchreilly.

A $250,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Sledmere Stud draft for Darby Racing, Ozzmosis was bred by China Horse Club and is the second foal from Group III winning Darci Brahma mare No More Tears (NZ), who comes from a fast female family featuring Group winners Hips Don’t Lie and Splintex.
