100th Stakes-Winner for Lope de Vega

Tara Madgwick - Thursday September 1

Australian breeders have had good success with Lope de Vega and the champion son of Shamardal passed a milestone overnight siring his 100th stakes-winner at Longchamp and has two sons standing in Australia this spring.

Three year-old filly Manisha scored a short neck win in the Listed Prix de Liancourt (2100m) for the Andre Fabre stable breaking through for her first Black Type success after a last start second  in Group company.

Manisha is the first winner for Mahati, a dour winning half-sister by Montjeu to Group winning stayers Macleya and Montclair from German bred stakes-winner Minaccia.
