Tara Madgwick - Monday August 29

There were only three races run at Benalla on Monday before the meeting was abandoned, but it was enough for the charge of Hellbent winners to continue with first starter Honeycup saluting.

Trained by Caroline Jennings, she was well fancied and won by a neck.

Honeycup was a $120,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the Yarraman Park draft for Kennedy Racing Group and is the seventh Australian winner this season for Hellbent.

Bred by Yarraman, she is the third winner from three foals to race from Heritage Lane, a half-sister by Charge Forward to the dam of Group II winner El Daana, the dam of South African Group I winner Al Muthana.
