Busuttin and Young Stable Put 2YOs on Show

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 22

Official two year-old trials are just around the corner with two 600m jump outs at Cranbourne on Monday morning showcasing some lovely babies from the Busuttin and Young stable with heat winners by Widden Stud sires Written By and Zoustar.

Yet to be named, the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young trained Written By filly from Etoile Fille did everything right showing good speed to lead all the way and was well held together to win by a long head in this educational gallop.

A modest $50,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Manx Park draft for her trainers, she is a half-sister to five winners including Group III placed Stop Making Sense.

A Zoustar filly from Patricia Dawn did likewise in her jump out and was a $370,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft. She is the third foal of Group III placed Patricia Dawn, whose first foal is a winner in Japan.

All runners in these very early jump outs were from the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young stable so expect them to have some representation in the early spring juvenile races.
