Snitzel Filly Winnertakesitall Breaks Maiden at the Valley

Mark Smith - Saturday July 30

Peter and Paul Snowden made a clean sweep of the two-year-old features at Moonee Valley on Saturday when the Snitzel filly Winnertakesitall broke her maiden Ladbrokes Mates Mode Hcp (955m), shortly after Alpha One put on a display of sheer speed in the colt’s division.

Ridden by Michael Dee, Winnertakesitall ran down the Street Boss (USA) filly bistro by a long-neck with a further length back to the Astern filly Va Via in third.

Second in the Black Oval Preview (1000m) at Canberra when on debut in February, Winnertakesitall earned for a spell after finishing sixth in the Group III Magic Night Stakes won by She’s Extreme.

“She’s a nice filly and very genuine. She is still very small and immature, and I’m sure that won’t be her last win,” Peter Snowden said.

“She will probably have one more run before we give her a break. There is upside for her later on.

“She has a good pedigree and will make her name in time.”

Bred by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum, Winnertakesitall was a $280,000 purchase for Snowden racing from the Segenhoe Stud draft at the 2021 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

A half-sister to Listed MRC Jim Moloney Stakes winner Queen Of Dubai (Pride Of Dubai), Winnertakesitall is the third winner from as many to race out of the Fastnet Rock mare Jezzabba.

A winner of three of ten starts, including two at Sandown, Winnertakesitall is a half-sister to Group II VRC Sires’ Produce Stakes winner and Golden Slipper runner-up Von Costa De Hero, out of the Group 1 MVRC Mannikato Stakes winner Piavonic.

Jezzabba has a yearling filly and weanling colt by Pride Of Dubai and was covered by Farnham last spring.

Winnertakesitall is the 18th 2yo winner of the season for Snitzel, who will clock in second to Rebel Dane as the Champion 2yo Sire on earnings.
