Reward for Effort Cracks 100 Winners

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday July 27

With four more days of the Australian racing season to run, Chatswood Stud’s much missed stalwart sire Reward for Effort has joined the century club posting his 100th winner on Wednesday.

Reward for Effort passed away last year.

Six year-old mare Red Light Roxanne brought up the milestone when she saluted at Doomben for the Natalie McCall stable.

A Group I MRC Blue Diamond winner by Exceed and Excel, Reward for Effort was a prolific sire of winners for Chatswood Stud before his death last November.

He covered 35 mares last year, so will have one final small crop of foals born this spring.
