Saturday Double for Sooboog With Promising Boogie Dancer

Breednet - Saturday July 23

Sooboog has a spring contender after promising filly Boogie Dancer brought up a Saturday double for her sire.

Trained by Peter Moody, Boogie Dancer was having her first attempt at 1400m and  Jamie Kah had to make some use of her to cross from a wide gate and race on pace.

She was always travelling sweetly though and showed an impressive turn of foot to score impressively from Berkeley Square (Territories) and Blakmax (Brazen Beau), taking her record to three wins from four starts

“She’s honest and tough, and versatile,” said Kah.

“You can put her anywhere in the run. She’s got some nice wins through spring in her I reckon.”

Dalziel Bloodstock / Peter Moody Racing purchased Boogie Dancer for $50,000 from the Rushton Park draft at the 2021 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

A half-sister to Group III ATC Birthday Card Stakes winner Miss Exfactor (Your Song), Boogie Dancer is the sixth winner from as many foals out of the Quest For Fame mare Search For Fame, a three-quarter sister to dual Group II winner Impaler.

Search For Fame has not had a live foal since Boogie Dancer. She was covered by Your Song last spring.

Sooboog will stand the forthcoming season at Kitchwin Hills for a fee of $8,800.
