Nine Winners for Hellbent

Yarraman Park’s Hellbent is enjoying a surge of winners as we come to the end of the season with the half-sister to Group I winner Heaven’s Above opening her account at Kembla on Saturday to become his ninth first crop winner.

Trained by Peter and Paul Snowden, Reggie’s Folly was having her first run back this preparation following an unplaced debut at Canterbury back in March.

Tuned up with two recent trials, Reggie’s Folly settled back in the field and was buried in the pack coming to the turn, but when eased to the outside she let down with a good run.

Reggie’s Folly did her best work late, arriving on the line to win the 1200m juvenile maiden by a head.

A $190,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Fairhill Farm draft for Snowden Racing, Reggie’s Folly was bred by Reg Kemister and is a half-sister to Group I ATC Coolmore Classic winner Heaven’s Above and stakes-placed Pindan Pearl being the third winner from four foals to race from Group III winning stayer Reggie (NZ).

Reggie's Folly was a $190,000 Inglis Classic purchase.

Reggie’s Folly is the ninth winner for Hellbent and is his fifth since the start of July!

Hellbent stands at a fee of $22,000 this spring.
