Pedigree Watch – Camelot Oaks Contender Ireland

Tara Madgwick - Thursday June 2

Epsom Derby winner Camelot is one of the most popular European sires with Australians and he has an Irish Oaks contender with Cairde Go Deo strengthening her claim overnight with a second stakes success.

The Listed King George V Cup (1m4f) at Leopardstown was won by progressive Ger Lyons trained filly Cairde Go Deo who saw off the hot favourite Boundless to win by a length.

Purchased for 105,000 euros from the Arqana Deauville September Yearling Sale,  Cairde Go Deo has won three of six starts including back to back Listed wins and holds entries for a number of upcoming Group races including the G1 Irish Oaks.
