Cornerstone Stud Consolidate Roster

Media Release - Monday May 16

Cornerstone Stud's consolidated stallion roster remains unchanged for the 2022 season, with SIR PRANCEALOT and VALENTIA filling the historic stallion boxes built by CS Hayes.

With proven Group 1 progeny in the Northern Hemisphere during the ‘21/’22 season through SIR BUSKER, SIR PRANCEALOT returns to Cornerstone Stud at the reduced fee of $8,800.

Sir Prancealot

With his 2nd crop of yearlings averaging $54,000 at the recent Adelaide Sales, an increase of $12,000 on his first crop sale achievements, the commercial barometer is definitely still trending north with trainers David Jolly, Richard Jolly and Mark Kavanagh buying his three most expensive lots respectively.

In light of the fact that SIR PRANCEALOT has delivered 10 individual winners, that include the three-time winner WATER INTO WINE, the opportunity for this stallion remains unheralded off such an enticing fee of $8,800.

Overnight success in the stallion ranks rarely stands the test of time.” deliberated Sam Pritchard-Gordon the Cornerstone Stud General Manager.

Which is why I look at Sir Prancealot firm in the belief that his rising crop of 3yo’s in the stables of Lindsay Park, McEvoy and Golan are going to reaffirm that this beautifully balanced, outcross stallion is not only a Northern Hemisphere upgrader of mares, but an Australian one too”.

Valentia

VALENTIA will stand the 2022 season at an adjusted fee of $6,600 to help provide a fiscally appealing entry point for South Australian breeders in the Owner / Breeding market, knowing that his above average winning statistics are following through to his small second crop that has produced a notable 6 winners from only 9 runners.

Pritchard-Gordon adding “VALENTIA’s are tough, durable and perhaps most importantly trainable! The trainers like to train them and South Australian owners just love to own horses that win the Racing Rewards Bonuses”.
