A spectacularly coloured mare, one of Australia's rare winning paint thoroughbreds is currently for sale and creating plenty of interest in this week’s Bloodstockauction.com catalogue.

Splash Of Paint is a lightly raced four-year-old Class 1 mare by ProfileIn Style (USA), an unraced sire of winners Twicethe Style, I’ve Got Style, Ice Patch, Splash Of Paint etc. from the Halo line which traces back to Champion Secretariat.

Profile In Style is the first frame-overo thoroughbred stallion to stand in the southern hemisphere and is known for producing stunningly marked foals.

She is out of Akhaali (Akhadan), a three-quarter sister in blood to Terango, a seven time winner and there times stakes placed in the SAJC D.C. McKay Stks (Gr.2), SAJC R.N. Irwin Stks (Gr.3) and the Manihi Classic (LR).

Her one win to date came last October and overall has had nine starts, last racing in January at Townsville.

She is currently being offered as Lot 11 in this week’s Bloodstockauction.com catalogue and represents a terrific racing, breeding or showing prospect.

The auction concludes Tuesday, May 10 at 7pm AEST.
