The Racenet Speedmaps and form analysts have combined to give punters a leg-up in the $750,000 Group I The Metropolitan (2400m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Racenet's Speedmaps spokesman Greg Polson said the scratching of Amralah has taken the possibility of any heat out of the race.

"With Amralah being scratched, Broadside probably leads as he likes now," Polson said.

"I'd expect Chocante to hand up easily and take the trail leaving either Foundry or Life Less Ordinary to face the breeze.

"Antonio Giuseppe gets a soft run behind them, which gives him ever chance to run out a strong 2400m.

"Intriguing race that could become a real tactical affair."

Corporate bookie Ladbrokes are offering $5 for the equal favourites Libran and Antonio Giuseppe, $5.50 Life Less Ordinary, $6 Big Duke, $7.50 Foundry, $7.50 Lubiton, $8.50 Broadside, $12 Who Shot Thebarman with the other runners at $21 or better.

"Like the market we also believe this is an open race," Racenet form analyst Cameron Happ said.

"The best value based on our assessments sits with Life Less Ordinary, Foundry, Who Shot Thebarman and Destiny's Kiss.

"We've priced Life Less Ordinary on top ahead of Foundry and are focusing on those two horses with the speedmap factored in.

"They should be afforded favourable runs up near the speed and if they go steady, which they could, it will make things hard for those back in the field.

"Using the Ladbrokes Odds Boost you can lock in $6.50 for Life Less Ordinary or $9.50 Foundry and at those prices it's worth a little stab."
