Spendthrift Australia Unreserved Dispersal Announced

Media Release - Saturday April 9

Opportunities to invest in some of the world’s leading bloodlines will be presented to buyers over the coming weeks with the staging of a two-part Spendthrift Australia Unreserved Dispersal.

A quality line up 95 lots will be presented across Magic Millions auctions – both online and on the Gold Coast over the coming weeks.

The first opportunities for buyers will come at the upcoming Magic Millions Online Sale (April 19-20) with 52 lots catalogued.

The streamlined online sale, with just 28 hours of bidding, will feature 22 weanlings, nine yearlings and 21 broodmares.

The second part of the Spendthrift Australia Unreserved Dispersal will occur at the 2022 Gold Coast National Sale (19-28 May) with 43 outstanding lots – 12 lots for the National Weanling Sale and 31 in the National Broodmare Sale.

Across the sales, a number of stakes performed and producing mares will be presented as well as a classy line up of youngsters by both proven and exciting young stallions.

“Over recent years the Spendthrift Australia team has assembled a wonderful portfolio of thoroughbreds,” Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said.

“There’s an incredible mix of the best bloodlines from Australia and abroad. It is a great honour and privilege to offer the 95 lots.”

“This is a rare opportunity for buyers to bid with confidence on quality bloodstock at unreserved auction – whether it’s online this month or at the Gold Coast National Sale.”

The 52 lots for the upcoming Online Sale are available for on-farm inspection. To arrange a time to inspect please contact Garry Cuddy (0410 451 595), Spendthrift Australia (03 5421 5600) or Tim Brown (0401 307 918).
