Lyndhurst Favourites and a Russian Revolution Colt

Sponsored Content - by Tara Madgwick - Wednesday March 16

Lyndhurst Stud will present a big draft of 34 for the Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale (March 21 and 22) next week with the farm’s resident sires Better Than Ready (13 entries) and Rothesay (10 entries) accounting for the bulk of the consignment and a colt by Russian Revolution sure to attract plenty of interest.

The Lyndhurst Stud flag has been flown with great success over the past 12 months by terrific stakes-winning filly Scorched Earth, who was bred and sold by the Kruger family fetching $90,000 at the Magic Millions in 2020.

Classy stakes-winning filly Scorched Earth was bred and sold by Lyndhurst Stud.

Trained by John Moloney, the daughter of Nicconi has won over $480,000 for her owners with four wins including a stakes victory, numerous stakes placings and the promise of more to come for this fleet footed filly.

The Lyndhurst sires Better than Ready and Rothesay are in their usual good form heading into the March sale.

Better Than Ready has sired more two year old winners than any other sire this season.

Once again, Better Than Ready is the leading sire of two year-old winners in the country with 10 on the board since August 1, which is two more than champion sires Snitzel and Zoustar!

A proven stakes sire that delivers winners every week, Rothesay is best known as the sire of Group I winning sprinter Rothfire and has his best crop of yearlings for some time being offered in 2022.
