She’s Extreme Seals Slipper Start

Tara Madgwick - Saturday March 12

Exciting filly She’s Extreme showed serious potential with a gallant second to Fireburn in the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes at her second start and she sealed the deal when powering home to win the Group III ATC Magic Night Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill on Saturday.

Trained by Anthony Cummings and ridden by Tommy Berry, She’s Extreme was a hot favourite to force her way into the Golden Slipper with a win and duly delivered the right outcome for punters.

Allowed to settle early from a wide gate, she hit the line hard to win by a length and a half over the Godolphin runner Magic Carpet.

“She’s had that bit of practice now and it showed today,” said Anthony Cummings.

“She’s a high quality filly. A month ago I didn’t think we’d be here, but she has surprised me how well she has bounced back after each run.

“She’ll do it again and be ready to go next Saturday.”

She's Extreme was a $275,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Willow Park Stud draft.
A $275,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Willow Park Stud draft for her trainer, She’s Extreme runs for a partnership that includes Robert Crabtree of Dorrington Farm in whose colours she runs.

With a win, a second and a fourth from just three starts, She’s Extreme has already won $133,000 and as a Group III winning daughter of exceptional young sire Extreme Choice holds plenty of value as a broodmare prospect for the future.

Bred by Aquis, She’s Extreme was a very successful pinhook bought for just $32,500 as a weanling through the 2020 Inglis Digital Online June Sale (late).

She is the second foal and second winner from Group II placed Keysbrook, a half-sister by So Secret to stakes-winner Brasileira from the family of Group winners Jorda, Aichi and Detours.

The current yearling from Keysbrook is a Lean Mean Machine filly that sold for $150,000 at the Perth Magic Millions this year.

Keysbrook was on-sold through the 2021 Inglis Digital June (late) Sale with Randwick Bloodstock picking her up for $60,000, but she unfortunately missed to Astern last spring.

She’s Extreme is the seventh stakes-winner for Newgate Farm’s Extreme Choice and is the first from his second crop which numbers just 26 foals.
