Just one horse worked on the course proper at Flemington on Tuesday ahead of a busy weekend of racing in Melbourne.

The Chris Waller-trained Japonisme is nominated for the Group I Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley on Friday night and he went out once the light was suitable.

Japonisme was wide out on the course proper, three-quarter speed from the 800m and not much quicker in the home straight before being allowed to dash the last 200m, timing a guess with the finish line obscured from the middle of the track.

Markers on the steeple grass were out three metres, riders reporting the ground riding in the good(4) range.

Together from the off and a consistent tempo. Picked it it up from the 600m and both strong through the line, Savile Row shading the work - nominated for the Epsom Handicap at Randwick on Saturday. Rhythm To Spare nominated for the 1700m Open Handicap at Caulfield on Sunday.

On his own and a touch keen early. Still well on the bridle in the straight and did this easily. Nominated for the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield on Sunday.
