Pariah Off the Mark

Mark Smith - Thursday February 10

After a fading fourth on a heavy track at Canberra when on debut, the Nick Olive-trained Nalabelle made no mistake at her second, cruising to an 8-length win over 1000m at Wagga on Thursday to credit Arrowfield Stud’s Pariah with his first winner.

With Jeff Penza in the saddle, Nalabelle led at every call to defeat the Rubick gelding Semper Invictus with the Palentino filly Nymagee a half-head back in third.

Nalabelle a $32,000 Magic Millions yearling

Nallabelle was a $32,000 purchase by Nick Olive Racing from the Noralla Stud draft from Book 2 of the 2021 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

She is the second foal and first runner for the Commands mare Rivadorf, a sister-in-blood to stakes winner Dorf Command.

Rivadorf has a yearling filly by Husson (ARG).

Pariah has just five runners to date, with the best performed being the Annabel Neasham-trained Swiss Exile, who placed third in the Group III B.J. McLachlan stakes and Listed Restricted Phelan Ready Stakes.

Sixteen yearlings by the son of Redoute’s Choice averaged $139,750 at the recent Inglis Classic. If you missed out there, four have been catalogued for Inglis Melbourne Premier, five at the Adelaide Magic Millions and two heading to Easter.
