A double on Magic Millions Day at the Gold Coast has moved I Am Invincible to within $1,300,000 of Nicconi in the race for champion sire.

 Runner-up for the last four years, momentum is with the Yarraman Park Stud champion who is also the frontrunner for number individual winners (110) and wins (156). He has nine stakes-winners for the season to date, trailing only Snitzel who has ten.

A big shout out to Waikato Stud champion Savabeel in this category. The son of Zabeel has eight individual stakes-winners that have accumulated 12 stakes wins led by the grand mare Probabeel.  

Reigning champion stallion Written Tycoon raced the top of the two-year-old standings following the win of Coolangatta in the Magic Millions 2yo Classic.

The Yulong resident won the 2yo title in the 2015-16 season when Capitalist added the Golden Slipper to his Magic Millions triumph a feat Coolangatta will attempt to emulate.

Newgate Farm’s Russian Revolution vaulted to the lead for champion fist season stallion following the excellent second of the very talented Russian Conquest in the 2yo Classic.

Coolmore Stud’s Merchant Navy put his first winner on the board at Ascot on Saturday. But it is still all to play for with the babies. The scene will change rapidly in the coming weeks with the Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper prelims rapidly approaching.
