Back To Back Wins for Invincible Crown at Moonee Valley

Consistent gelding Invincible Crown made it back-to-back wins at Moonee Valley when finishing strongly to claim Friday nights Front Runner Membership Hcp (1600m).

The 3yo son of Cable Bay (IRE) is making a mockery of her $30,000 purchase price as his record advances to two wins, a second and two thirds from six stats with earnings of $118,600.

With Damien Thornton in the saddle, the Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock-trained gelding weaved between runners in the straight to run down the favourite Lady Court (American Pharoah) by a head with a neck back to Medal (Savabeel) in third.

“He was very impressive. He had it all to do but an twelve out of ten ride by Damien, was very patient and delivered,” de Kock said.

He is very versatile. I’s dependent how he breaks, and we left it all up to Damien.

“He has always shown ability and it is coming to fruition now.”

Invincible Crown a $30,000 Inglis Premier yearling

  Robbie Griffiths Racing and Peter Ford Thoroughbreds (FBAA) purchased Invincible Crown for $30,000 fr0om the Woodside Park draft at the 2020 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

He is the third winner from four to race out of the 3-time winner Crown Of Caitlin (Distant Music) a half-sister to stakes-placed winner The Expat (Baryshnikov).

Crown Of Caitlin has a 2yo brother to Invincible Crown and a yearling filly by Fiorente (IRE). She foaled a filly by Ilovethiscity on November 1.
