Juvenile Trial Watch – Warwick Farm

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 16

The Warwick Farm trials on Tuesday morning produced two heat winners for Godolphin by Frosted (USA) and Kermadec, who gave them the recent Group I VRC Oaks winner Willowy.

Victorine was having her second trial after a quiet fifth placing at her first outing last month. This time the daughter of Kermadec was asked to do a lot more by Kerrin McEvoy and jumped well sit outside the lead all the way and was strong all the way to the line winning by a neck held together.

Victorine is a half-sister to seven winners headed by stakes-winner Federal and comes from the family of Group I MRC Thousand Guineas winner Flit.

The second winner for Godolphin was Frosted (USA) colt Affidavit, who showed good racecraft to jump well and take third position on the fence before working between runners to lengthen and win by half a length moving away.

Affidavit is a half-brother to two winners from Wordcraft (GB), a winning Shamardal daughter of Golden Slipper winner Forensics.
