Breednet Track First Season Sires at the Trials

Tara Madgwick - Monday November 15

At this time of year there is great interest in the progeny of first season sires stepping out at the trials so Breednet are tracking them and producing a weekly report which features seven first season sires with trial winners in the pipeline and one sire in particular that has generated a cloud of smoke.

That sire is Russian Revolution, who posted his first winner last week when the smart filly Russian Conquest took out the Max Lees Classic at Newcastle.

Russian Revolution stands at Newgate Farm.

Russian Revolution has the most horses to have trialled of any sire on the report this week and interestingly Magic Millions have loaded up on his progeny for their 2022 sale with 39 catalogued, so those two factors would indicate plenty of smoke that could well materialise into fire in coming months.

The report catalogues the performance of all progeny of first season sires up until they race offering a quick way to see anything of interest that may be in the pipeline.

These horses remain on the list up until they go to the races, so the list only features UNRACED two year-olds.

First season sires with trial winners on this list this week are: Hellbent, Impending, Menari, Pariah, Russian Revolution, Spieth and The Mission.

Some of the horses are entered to race include: Negation (Hellbent), who did not win her heat , but was an impressive second.
