Australians on the Board as Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale Gets Underway

The sales action moved to the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale on Wednesday, with a few familiar names making the scoreboard.

Lot 2 John Muir's Milburn Creek, in association with Nicoma, was quick off the blocks purchasing Raymundo's Secret for US$310,000.

The daughter of the Galileo stallion Treasure Beach was sold as a racing or broodmare prospect.

Raymundo's Secret won three of her five starts at three and at four she added the Grade II John C Mabee Stakes for an overall record of five wins in ten starts with earnings of over $200,000.

Lot 46 Active at the Fasig-Tipton Sale, Newgate Farm and SF Bloodstock were in the thick of the action again purchasing the well-performed Tonalist mare Tonalist's Shape for $350,000.

 

Undefeated in three starts at two, Tonalist's Shape won the Grade II Davona Dale Stakes and Grade III Forward Gal Stakes at three.

Sold as a racing or broodmare prospect, Tonalist's Shape banked just shy of $400,000. She is a daughter of the stakes-winning Harlan’s Holiday mare Hitechnoweenie.

Lot 62. Julian Blaxland took a fancy to the Grade III winning Acclamation mare Abby Hatcher (IRE), who he secured for $185,000.

Out of the 3-time winning Dubawi mare Sharqawiyah, Abby Hatcher (IRE) is a half-sister to the smart 2yo filly Purciaretta (Cotai Glory), a winner of four from seven starts in Italy highlighted Premio Divino Amore Livermore.

Lot 80 Kestrel Thoroughbreds look to have spotted a pinhook opportunity with the purchase of a weanling colt by War Front for $170,000.

Out of the winning Dynaformer mare Bourbonesque, the colt is a half-brother to the Grade 1 Awesome Again Stakes winner, Mongolian Groom (Hightail).

Lot 134 Paul Moroney and Catheryne Bruggeman outlaid $260,000 for the stakes-winning Stormy Atlantic mare Ippodamia's Girl.

Sold as a racing or broodmare prospect, Ippodamia's Girl banked over $260,000 from five wins.

She is a half-sister to the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity Stakes winner Georgie Boy (Tribal Rule) out of the stakes-winning Peterhof mare Ippodamia.

Lot 185 Newgate Farm and SF Bloodstock struck again with the purchase of the stakes winning Orb mare Mrs Orb for $1850,000.

Sold as a racing or broodmare prospect, Mrs Orb has earned over $535,000 from five wins.

Lot 224c Also going the way of Newgate Farm and SF Bloodstock is the $130,000 purchase Quinta Nota (Tale of Ekati).

The winner of the Grade 1 Clasico Enrique Ayulo Pardo and runner-up in the Grade 1 Clasico Pamplona in Peru at two, Quinta Nota is out of the winning Perfect Soul mare Belle Soul a half-sister to Canada’s champion 3-year-old colt, Not Boubon (Not Impossible).
