First HK Win for Record Priced Rubick

A talented Group II placed three year-old in Australia when racing as Jet Propulsion, the now gelded Rubick four year-old Master Delight scored his first win in Hong Kong at Sha Tin on Sunday.

Third and fourth at his first two runs for new trainer John Size, Master Delight appreciated a step up to 1600m and finished hard with a well timed run under Joao Moreira to score a three-quarter length win as favourite.
 



A $900,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Kitchwin Hills draft for T Magnier / Ciaron Maher Bloodstock, Master Delight is the most expensive yearling by his sire Rubick.

Jet Propulsion was a $900,000 Inglis Easter yearling.

He is a half-brother to not only $5.8million earning Group I winner Pierata abut also Group III winner Ashokan and is the sixth winner from Group III winning Flying Spur mare November Flight, who died last year.

Best known as the sire of Everest hero Yes Yes Yes, Rubick moved to Swettenham Stud this year and stands at a fee $27,500.
