Cream Rises in Third Season Sire Division

The Australian third season sires list reflects the changing landscape of the Australian stallion ranks with four of the Top 10 sires not standing here this spring, but the top three are all in the Hunter Valley and priced affordably this spring.

Coolmore’s Group I winning sires Pride of Dubai and Vancouver both sired stakes-winners last weekend, the former successful with progressive three year-old filly Queen of Dubai and the latter with quality four year-old mare Vangelic, who won the Group II ATC Gold Pendant and heads to the $2million Invitation next month.


Queen of Dubai was the second stakes-winner this season for Pride of Dubai, who also has his million dollar earning mare Bella Nipotina, winner of the Group III MRC How Now Stakes.

Pride of Dubai (Street Cry (IRE) and Vancouver (Medaglia D’Oro) are both standing at a fee of $22,000 this spring

Third on the list is Vinery Stud’s Headwater, who has the highest seasonal winner to runner strike rate of the trio and a star filly to run for him in Jamaea, winner of the Group II ATC Furious Stakes.

Headwater stands at a fee of $16,500.
