There are nine heats for two year-olds to be run at Randwick on Monday morning so Breednet have put together a Sale Mail offering breeding and sale details / yearling images for all runners which include the most expensive Exceed and Excel ever sold and the full brother to Champion 3YO Trapeze Artist.

As usual there will be great interest in the progeny of first season sires so keep an eye on Merchant Navy (4), Russian Revolution (3), Pariah (2), Spieth (2), Impending (1) and Menari (1), who are all represented.

Darley heavyweight Exceed and Excel has three runners, two of them colts sold for seven figures at Inglis Easter to Tony Fung Investments, both offered by Vinery Stud.

Nobel was the second highest priced horse sold at Inglis Easter 2021 and is the most expensive Exceed and Excel yearling ever sold.


The Annabel Neasham trained colt Nobel was a $2.1million purchase and Psychiatrist was a $1,050,000 purchase and is trained by Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou.

Psychiatrist was the second highest priced Exceed and Excel sold in 2021.

Nobel is the first named foal of Group III winner Peace Force, a half-sister to five time Group I winner Eremein, while Psychiatrist is the first foal of winning Lonhro mare Sanity, a full sister to Group III winner Trim, the dam of Group III winner Manicure, who is by Exceed and Excel.

Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible has four runners headed by Zambezi River, a $1,150,000 Inglis Easter purchase for James Harron Bloodstock Pty Ltd / T Magnier.

Zambezi River was bred by Shadwell and sold by Yarraman Park as agent.

Trained by Chris Waller, Zambezi River is the second foal of stakes-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Zamzam, who was placed in a Group I MRC Blue Diamond Stakes.

Arrowfield Stud’s champion sire Snitzel has four runners including Master Showman, the full brother to Champion 3YO and exciting young sire Trapeze Artist. The colt has been retained to race by Bert Vieira and his family and is trained by Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou.

Not a Single Doubt has three runners headed by $1million Magic Millions purchase Flashing Steel, who is trained by Annabel Neasham for Aquis.

Flashing Steel won't be hard to spot in his trial with that big baldy face!

Bred and sold by Baramul Stud, he is bred to go early being the second foal of winning Medaglia D’Oro (USA) mare Medaglia Valore, a daughter of Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Military Rose.
