Trained by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, Star Witness filly Nana Jenn was easy in the market, but belied the lack of support from punters to charge home and win the 1200m maiden by a neck.

Nana Jenn runs in the Spendthrift Australia colours and was a $320,000 Magic Millions purchase for them from the Widden Stud draft making her the most expensive yearling by her sire sold in 2020.

Bred by Paul Lanskey, Nana Jenn is a full sister to stakes-winner Lycurgus and half-sister to $5.8 million earner Vow and Declare being the third winner from four foals to race from metro winning Testa Rossa mare Geblizt.

Nana Jenn was the most expensive yearling by Star Witness sold in 2020.

Geblizt has a yearling filly by American Pharoah (USA) and was covered last spring by Dundeel.

Star Witness has made a fast start to the new season with 24 winners headed by Group II ATC Silver Shadow Stakes winner Swift Witness. He stands this spring at Widden Victoria at a fee of $16,500.
