Every Rose Offered for Sale on Inglis Digital

Media Release - Monday September 13

High-class 2YO and multiple Group winner Every Rose (Choisir) will be offered for sale in a bespoke Inglis Digital Online Auction to be held later this week.

The Darby Racing-campaigned speedster, a $160,000 yearling purchase in conjunction with De Burgh Equine, immediately showed her star quality at the first official 2YO trials on the Kensington track at Randwick.

Every Rose won the G2 Light Fingers Stakes - image Steve Hart.

Her winning time for the morning of 50.08 was the fastest across all 12 trials on a morning that also saw the likes of subsequently top-class performers King’s Legacy, Anders, Aim, Barbaric and Thermosphere also trial.

The positive impression of that effort was confirmed at her debut race outing when she made all to win the prestigious G3 Gimcrack Stakes over 1000m at Randwick.

It took no less a pair than G1 Golden Slipper winner Farnan and dual G1-winning 2YO King’s Legacy to beat Every Rose on her next two outings in Stakes company over 1100m at Wyong and 1200m at Eagle Farm respectively.

Every Rose returned as a 3YO to win the G2 Light Fingers Stakes over 1200m at Randwick, beating 13 rivals including the likes of Away Game and Hungry Heart, despite jumping from the widest gate.

The flashy chestnut has been a favourite of Darby Racing’s Scott Darby from a very early stage.

“She was all quality at the yearling sale – a pure 2YO sort – and we actually said at the sale that she would be our Gimcrack winner,’’ Darby said.

“She was just very natural in everything she did, had a great mind and brilliant speed, which she could sustain in top-class races.

“In many respects, she was the perfect 2YO and it’s a testament to her class and attitude that she was capable of progressing again to win a top-class race as a 3YO.

“Obviously I’m biased, but I think she is a commercial breeders dream, she’s good looking with a very rare form of natural speed and precocity which is so desirable in the commercial market place.

“I think she is as good a chance of being a top-class broodmare as any race filly I have had anything to do with and I just love the fact that she comes from a progressive pedigree which produces an abundance of winners.”

Inglis Digital’s Nick Melmeth noted how excited the team at Inglis are to be offering another top-class race mare following the recent sales of Funstar and Fasika for $2.7m and $920,000 respectively.

“We are very grateful to Scott and his partners for the opportunity to bring to market such an exciting filly as Every Rose and it is another great compliment to Inglis Digital and its standing in the market,’’ Melmeth said.

“We are constantly working with buyers and vendors on improving our product and service so as to ensure we continue to achieve market-leading, record-breaking results and amongst the rewards is being able to offer stock the quality of Every Rose.’’

Bidding on the Inglis Digital ‘Every Rose Online Sale’ will open from the morning of Thursday September 16th and close from 4pm on Friday September 17th.
