Two Winners in Two Days for She’s Sirius

Tara Madgwick - Thursday September 9

Victorian breeder Gary O’Meara from Miranda Park has had a good two days with broodmare She’s Sirius, who produced quality mare Sirileo Miss to win at Sandown on Wednesday and then today her three year-old filly Notions saluted at Hawkesbury for Dynamic Syndications.

Read about Pride of Dubai’s Sirileo Miss here.

Trained by Richard and Michael Freedman, Notions won first up from a spell at Nowra and was then second at her next run before stepping up to 1600m to win again at Hawkesbury in a Class 1.

The Press Statement filly made $70,000 when she was sold by Miranda Park at Inglis Premier to Aquis, who then re-offered her after just one unplaced run at the 2021 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale in the race fillies section where she was bought by Dynamic Syndications for $90,000.

Bred and sold by Miranda Park, Notions as a yearling.

The investment looks to be a good one given that Notions has won two of four starts and her half-sister Sirileo Miss may well win Black Type races this season to enhance her value further.

Bred by Gary O’Meara, Notions is a also a half-sister to stakes-placed Sophia’s Choice and is one of seven winners from seven to race from good producer She’s Sirius, a half-sister by Galileo to stakes-winner Spectrolite.

She’s Sirius has a yearling colt by Merchant Navy that will be offered at the sales next year and is booked to visit exciting Coolmore newcomer King’s Legacy.
