New 2YO SW for American Pharoah

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday September 1

Returning to Coolmore Australia for his fifth consecutive season this spring, Triple Crown hero American Pharoah (USA) sired a new two year-old stakes-winner in the US on Tuesday when speedy colt Trust Our Journey scored a tenacious win in the $100,000 Colonial Downs Rosie’s Stakes (5 ½ f) on turf.

Trained by Carlos David, Trust Our Journey was a debut winner at Gulfstream back in May and has been stakes-placed twice since then.

Ridden forward by Julian Pimentel, Trust Our Journey took up the lead from the gates and was strong to the line to hold on and win by a neck. He has the overall record of two wins and two placings from five starts.

Trust Our Journey is a half-brother to stakes-winner Tribal Drama from winning AP Warrior mare Tribal Music, who comes from a female family that has enjoyed success in Australia with Group II winner Hey Pronto.

Trust Our Journey is the 20th stakes-winner worldwide for American Pharoah, whose Australian progeny have just turned three.

American Pharoah is a Premium stallion, click for more information.

The sire of 12 stakes-winners in 2021 in North America, Japan and Ireland, American Pharaoh stands this spring at a fee of $49,500.
