Holding Pattern for Anamoe

Tara Madgwick - Thursday August 19

While exciting Godolphin colts Paulele and Ingratiating have been quick to return in winning form this season taking out feature races in Sydney and Melbourne, the big gun in the stable Anamoe will not be seen until next month.

Godolphin issued a statement today revealing the star colt has hit a small hurdle in his current preparation.

Godolphin statement from James Cummings- We advise that ANAMOE threw a temperature overnight. As a consequence, I have decided to postpone some competitive gallops. The colt’s progress will be monitored in the coming days and a return to normal will see him resume racing next month.

Anamoe was a standout last season winning the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes in dominant fashion after finishing a strong second in the Golden Slipper.

His achievements led to the transfer of his sire Street Boss (USA) from Darley Victoria to their Hunter Valley base with a fee increase to $55,000.
