€370,000 Saxon Warrior Colt an Arqana Highlight

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 16

Coolmore’s dual Group I winning Deep Impact sire Saxon Warrior (Jpn) had strong results last year at the Northern Hemisphere foal sales and he made his presence felt again at the Arqana August Yearling Sale on day two with a stunning colt from his first crop that sold for €370,000 ($A594,494).

Consigned by Haras de Bougeauville, the powerhouse chestnut colt was bought by Oliver St Lawrence and is the third foal of stakes-winning Excellent Art mare Artistic Jewel.

The sale represented the best result so far at this sale for any first season sire.
