New Stakes-Winner for Exceed and Excel

Tara Madgwick - Sunday August 15

Darley’s champion sire Exceed and Excel added a new stakes-winner to his tally in the UK overnight when Double or Bubble won the Listed Flying Fillies Stakes (6f) at Pontefract.

Trained by Chris Wall, the four year-old has been given time to mature and after winning her only two starts last year as a three year-old has gradually found her best form this year.

Double or Bubble raced on the pace and forged clear to win by two lengths taking her overall record to four wins from seven starts.

Double or Bubble is a full sister to Group III winner Mix and Mingle and is one of four winners from Mango Lady, a winning half-sister by Dalakhani to Group II winner High Accolade.

Double or Bubble is the second stakes-winner over the weekend for Exceed and Excel and becomes his 187th worldwide.

Exceed and Excel stands at a fee of $132,000 at Darley NSW this spring.
