Vale, Mastercraftsman

A four time Group I winner by Danehill Dancer, the dashing grey shuttled to Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand at the start of his career which has produced 82 stakes-winners worldwide to date, 16 of them Group I winners.

His best offspring are headed by Champion European 3YO Filly Alpha Centauri, while his New Zealand progeny are headed by Group I winners Dandzdanzdance, Thee Auld Floozie and Valley Girl.

“Mastercraftsman was a lovely horse to have anything to do with and will be missed by everyone here,” said Castlehyde manager Tom Gaffney.

“He has sired some wonderful animals and hopefully there will be a few more stars by him to come.”

As a broodmare sire, Mastercraftsman has achieved notable success as sire of the dam of Australian dual Group I winning sprinter Loving Gaby.
