First foal for Tassort

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday August 11

Emirates Park have been bullish in their support of Newgate Farm based promising young sire Tassort and are delighted with his first foal.

Godolphin bred Tassort was retired after just two starts, but the half-brother to Group I winners Astern and Alizee showed enough brilliance in his brief career to attract the attention of Emirates Park and Newgate, who stand the son of Brazen Beau in partnership.

Tassort colt from Buroog.

Tassort covered 137 mares in his first season at stud including the Emirates Park homebred Buroog, who is the dam of this lovely colt.

Buroog is an unraced half-sister by Artie Schiller (USA) to stakes-winner Liwa from the famed Canny Lass family that has produced Golden Slipper winners Canny Lad and Sepoy as well as superstars Bivouac and Guelph.

Tassort stands at Newgate Farm this spring at a fee of $11,000.
