Spring is in the Air – Warwick Farm Trials

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 9

Annabel Neasham unleashed her two big guns at the Warwick Farm trials on Monday morning with Zaaki (GB) and Mo’Unga asked to stretch their legs, while in the heats for up and comers the 2020 Magic Millions Yearling Sale-topper won with plenty in hand.

Mo’Unga hacked around to finish fourth of four in his 1100m trial behind Quick Thinker, but was never out of second gear.

Zaaki was ridden quietly and only started to stoke up in the last 50m  to finish fourth to Private Eye in his 900m heat.

Richard Litt has been super patient with Deep impact colt Profondo, who topped the 2020 Magic Millions Yearling Sale when fetching for $1.9million for Arrowfield Stud.

Profondo was having his third trial, but first this preparation and looked very good in winning his 740m heat on the polytrack.

He sat behind the leaders and opened up nicely to the line to win by a length running away.

Profondo was a $1.9million Magic Millions purchase topping the 2020 Gold Coast sale.

Profundo carries the Castelvecchio colours of Ottavio Galletta and is the first  foal from Group III winning Redoute’s Choice mare Honesty Prevails.
