Arrowfield Stud’s now retired Not a Single Doubt topped the 1200m and less speed division with his Everest winner Classique Legend giving him an unsurpassable lead, although I Am Invincible challenged hard with the horses in this distance range bringing him the lion’s share of his success.

From 1200m to 1600m, Written Tycoon made his presence really felt, although again that Everest win made Not a Single Doubt the sire to catch.

From 1600m to 2000m we see the real change over of sires with Coolmore’s powerhouse duo of Pierro and So You Think really coming into their own to push aside the sires whose powerbase is rooted in straight speed.

2000m and Beyond highlights the sires that give us our Cups horses and 3YO classic contenders and while there are less races run at these staying trips the prizemoney on the staying features is such that they can’t be ignored.
