End of Season – Champion Two and Three Year Old Sires

The first of August marks the beginning of a new season and all the hard work of the previous 12 months is reflected in end of season sires tables with the leading Two and Three Year Old Sires highlighting stallions whose progeny come to hand quickly.

Newgate Farm’s Extreme Choice was the leading 2YO sire by earnings emulating the success of Stratum, who won the title as a first season sire in 2010 when his first crop included Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily.

His first season barn mate Capitalist shared the honours with champion sire Snitzel for leading 2YO sire by winners with both posting 20 Aussie winners for the season.

The 3YO sires list was dominated by Yulong Stud’s Written Tycoon, who topped the division by earnings and winners, his impressive results with this age group underpinning his overall success.
