End of Season – Champion Second and Third Season Sires

The first of August marks the beginning of a new season and all the hard work of the previous 12 months is reflected in end of season sires tables with the second and third season divisions producing two new champion sires in Headwater and Deep Field.

Headwater

Vinery Stud’s Headwater has been a bit of a quiet achiever taking honours here from a competitive group of sires with not a great deal separating the top four in terms of winners and earnings.

Newgate Farm’s Deep Field has gotten better with every year’s he been at stud as has runner-up Toronado (IRE), the pair forging clear of their rivals with a slew of winners, stakes-winners and their first Group I winners coming this season.
